Ask the Experts

I like my recipes in liters and centigrees, not strange measures like pints, cups, gasmarks and Fahrenheit. Should I stay away from any of your cookbooks on that account?
Marianne, Farum, Denmark

All of the cookbooks we recommend on this site are written for Americans and they are all written to conform to those "strange measures" we use in America. However, we do include an instruction manual with our pressure cooker that is written in 6 languages and measures are given in ml, cl, grams, etc.

You can download a copy of Our Quick Cuisine Guide or send us an email requesting a printed copy. We'll be happy to send it. You might also like Madhur Jaffrey's Quick and Easy Indian Cookery. She frequently uses the measures you seek in that book.
